Since the Society was established we have cited many motif numbers in stories and articles in the Society Journal "BC FOLKLORE" (q.v. below) including some new numbers to augment those that already exist. Both D327.3§, transformation: fur seal to person, and D327.4§, transformation: sealion to person, are given here to justify the position of D327.5§, transformation: walrus to person. The position, in the Motif Index, of all three species of Pinnipeds (fur seals, sealions, and walruses) relates to the already established D327.2. transformation seal to person. All four cited here, in turn are governed by their order in scientific classifications.|
